Insufficient Actions
When starting a new business, keep in mind that many business formation and pre-sale/pre-rendering of services actions (see below) do not establish trademark rights or protect your right to use a trademark.
But you can secure a priority date as against subsequent adopters by filing an “intent to use” trademark application before actually beginning to use a trademark.
